Ready to Improve your Quality of Life? I am here to help!
Hi, I'm Kimberly. I am a Board Certified Art Therapist (ATR-BC) and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a passion for helping people transform their lives. I take a strength-based, holistic approach that is client-centered. I believe in emphasizing each individual's strengths
and assets to help them see themselves as a survivor.
As an Art Therapist, I support a century-old belief that art making and creative expression are essential to improving physical, mental, and emotional health and wellbeing. By focusing on the PROCESS not the PRODUCT, I help clients of all ages, paint, collage, and sculpt in a non-threatening way, to explore feelings, reconcile emotional conflicts, foster self-awareness, reduce stress/anxiety, increase self-esteem, reduce depression, and build strength and resiliency.
As a trauma therapist clinically-trained in EMDR, I provide strength-based trauma therapy to clients who have experienced adverse life experiences, and are struggling to make sense of their lives. I have an eclectic approach, and incorporate Mindful-Based Art Therapy (MBAT), Narrative Sand Therapy, Bilateral Stimulation, Forward-Facing Trauma Therapy, Bilateral Drawing, and both DBT and CBT principles into my practice, in order to meet my clients where they are, and to allow them to guide the therapeutic process, based on their individual needs.
If you have concerns about seeing an out-of-network provider, here are the pros and cons of using insurance for therapy: https://bit.ly/42s7Tlg.
